Introduction
Welcome! This website was created for the online learning conference project for ETEC-512 (UBC's MET program). This course focuses on the application on learning theories, and our group chose Vygotsky as our topic. We hope that as you use this site, you will learn more about Vygotsky, his well known (and lesser known) theories, and how they can be applied in instructional settings. Vygotsky and his theories have been the topic of many discussions and readings in our class so we hope that this can deepen the understanding you currently have and extend that to realize the applications that these theories have for educators and learners.
The primary intended audience for this site is our ETEC-512 classmates, and we are hoping that you will engage with the site as we have purposefully built in these opportunities throughout and will be actively facilitating the conversation. We would like to create dialogue around the tools and strategies presented and are looking forward to learning together through the embedded discussion points.
If you have any comments or questions about the website, please contact us at [email protected]
